Applied Behaviour Analysis/Intensive Behavioural Intervention programs

Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA)/Intensive Behavioural Intervention (IBI) Therapy

  • Learners aged 2-21
  • Available morning, afternoon and after school
  • Recommmended minimum of three ½ days per week
  • Delivered in-centre or in-home
  • Each learner is assigned a clinical team consisting of; Instructor/therapists, with supervision by a Senior Therapist and a Clinical Supervisor with BCBA (minimum number of supervision hours per month by each team member is specified)
  • Parental input is encouraged and welcomed
  • Programs are individualized to each learner after an assessment, and delivered in both structured and natural settings
  • Assessment tools include: ABLLS-R and VB-MAPP
  • Targeted skills include a wide range of curriculum areas; communication/language (receptive and expressive), social, adaptive, behavioural, academic, play, school-readiness and motor skills
  • Programs are created using the principles of ABA
  • Daily data is collected and analyzed
  • Programs and progress are reviewed regularly and systematically by supervisory staff, frequency of team meetings including supervisors and instructor therapists is at least monthly and more frequently when necessary
  • Staff is provided ongoing training and support
  • Primarily for learners diagnosed with autism or a related disorder
