2009: Once again,  Spectrum Intervention Group is delighted to have been chosen as a recipient by Unity for Autism (www.unityforautism.ca).  “A charitable foundation uniting families affected by autism with heroes across our nation.”  A sincere thanks to Kathy Deschenes and all the dedicated volunteers who generously donate their time to such a worthwhile organization and cause.

2008: A world of thanks to;

  • Stonebridge Golf Course and Monarch Corporation for their generosity, the donation of one half the funds from their recent golf tournament is much appreciated.
  • Ottawa International Airport Authority/Project Clear Skies for their generosity in supporting the capital needs of our growing organization for the second year in a row. and to all the individual donors who continue to support us directly and through the United Way.

2007: Thank you so much to the Microsoft Golf Classic for Autism for their very generous donation for the third consecutive year. Thanks also to the Community Foundation of Ottawa-Carleton and Project Clear Skies for providing their funding. We'd also like to thank the many individual donors for their contributions provided through the United Way campaign and through the Government of Canada workplace campaign that happens every fall.

2006: We are very pleased to announce that Spectrum Intervention Group has been chosen as one of 7 recipients to benefit from the 2006 fundraising efforts of Unity for Autism (www.unityforautism.ca). "Unity for Autism is a newly created foundation dedicated to providing financial assistance to registered charities which make a direct and profound impact on the development of individuals living with autism. Through a signature golf tournament held annually and corporate donations, our Foundation seeks to unite the corporate community across Canada in raising funds to address the crisis that exists for so many families waiting to access services..".

2005: With thanks to a generous grant from the Community Foundation of Ottawa-Carleton, Spectrum was pleased to offer its Summer Bridge program to ASD children again in the summer of 2005. This program is a much-needed service to the community as there are very few summer programs geared specifically to children with ASD. It runs half days for a full 8 week period in the summer. It has become more popular every year, we were proud to set aside a couple of weeks to serve a new age group of 12-15 year olds, for the first time last summer.

In both 2005 and 2004, Spectrum became the proud recipient of a large donation from the Ottawa Sens Foundation and the Annual Microsoft Golf Classic for Autism.. Our sincere thanks to all the sponsors for this event (for a complete listing, please visit www.ottawasenatorsfoundation.com. This event has been a huge success and it has raised over $60,000 annually for various autism organizations in our community. (To the best of our knowledge, this has been the biggest autism local fundraiser to date!) We would especially like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Rudy Sleiman and Steve Warne for all their hard work in making this event such a huge success. Congratulations gentlemen - you did an excellent job and you did our community proud!
