Recipient of funding from Unity for Autism

Proud recipient of funding from Unity for Autism once again in 2012 (see below).

Congratulations, Community Foundation of Ottawa, on your Silver Anniversary. Please see our thank you video

Spectrum is pleased to be a community partner with the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) Autism Program and the Ottawa Children’s Treatment Centre (OCTC), in offering services through the provincially funded, “ABA Services and Supports”.

A description of this program:

The Applied Behaviour Analysis Services Program of Eastern Ontario (ABA) is a program of the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) funded through the Ministry of Child and Youth Services (MCYS). The services and supports funded by this initiative provide children and youth with ASD with the best opportunity to reach their full potential.

This initiative builds and improves on the established continuum of ABA-based services and supports already in existence, and increases education and intervention supports with the goal of achieving long term socially meaningful behavioural changes in children and youth with ASD. The services focus on increasing independence, social inclusion and increased youth engagement, as well as improving the overall quality of life for children and youth with ASD.

Spectrum’s involvement includes direct group-based services to children and families, as well as parent training.   Please visit their website at:, for more information about this program.”
